DELTA BLUEGRASS CO.
About Our Sods:
Bluerye is our second most popular blend right next to the Bolero PLus. The Bluerye is beautiful, lush and finely textured, and it is an ideal blend that will give you the look you’ll love. This blend can also be planted any time of the year, and can survive small drought periods with little water. Bluerye grows well in sandy or heavy soil, the natural rhizome structure provides quick healing and uniform growth, and who doesn’t want a dark blue-green lawn all year round? It was also formerly featured at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California.
Ryegrass actually is apart of the bluegrass family. This hard-working grass is valued for its fast germination rate and quick establishment, which makes it a valuable component in permanent and temporary lawns. This blend flourishes when summers are moderate, and winters are cool. It has a beautiful winter color, it is excellent for a close cropped fine bladed look, and it is also disease resistant.
Kurapia is one of our newest and high in demand products. It requires 60% less water than the average lawn, it doesn’t require any mowing (at all), and it is a natural pollinator. The blend is thick, and dense, and it actually suppresses the growth of weeds. The root system prevents soil erosion, its can handle light/moderate foot traffic, and it is also shade tolerant.
The California Native Varieties from Delta Bluegrass Company were specifically designed to save 50% on water. They have a variety of different blends from a long and lush meadow, to a close cropped fine bladed look.
